Tips from the Experts
"Reach-in coolers are available with either top mounted or bottom mounted refrigeration, and both have pro's and con's. Bottom mounted refrigeration is low enough to avoid much of the excess heat produced in commercial kitchens, but the compressor is closer to the sources of kitchen crumbs and dirt. Conversely, top mounted refrigeration is closer to the heat and exhaust fumes, but remains out of the way, and is less likely to get dirty or damaged. It is strictly a matter of preference, and doesn't usually affect performance." - Mike
