ACityDiscount began as a small business. From humble beginnings we have grown to be one of the premier restaurant equipment and supply dealers in the United States. We proudly serve our customers in our Norcross, GA showroom and on our website.
Operating a national e-commerce site is no easy undertaking; however, our dedicated employees often make it look easy. Unfortunately, there is legislation in front of the US Congress that could have a drastic impact on the way all online businesses operate.
When ACityDiscount began selling restaurant equipment online, we developed a strong business relationship with eBay and eBay Main Street. We have continued to build on that relationship, and this month ACityDiscount President & CEO, John Stack, will be traveling with eBay Main Street to Washington. There they will speak with members of Congress about this legislation.
Mr. Stack had this to say about his upcoming trip:
“Technology allows smaller businesses like ACityDiscount to reach customers across the globe and nation. It enables growth and provides economic support in their home area. Selling online can be a game-changer for long-term success and sustainability.
That’s why I’ll be travelling to Washington DC on April 27, 2016 to participate in eBay Inc.’s 11th annual US of eBay Advocacy Day on behalf of ACityDiscount. The goal is to encourage lawmakers to support policies that promote small business growth and success. During my time in Washington, I will discuss with lawmakers the way proposed Internet sales tax legislation would create a huge tax burden for small business owners selling their products online. I will also share with lawmakers the need for Congressional action that modernizes the US trade agenda so that small businesses, like mine, can reach their full export potential.”
- John Stack, President / CEO ACityDiscount

Interviews can be conducted via phone or in-person at ACityDiscount in Norcross, GA. All media requests regarding this issue can be made to Rob Haralson at rharalson@franklinsquaregroup.com.
