The Atlanta Foodservice Expo is Clarion Events North America’s first new show in the United States. The show debuted on October 20th – 22nd, and was open to the public. Atlanta is considered a very cost-effective locale for a show of this nature; there are currently close to 100,000 service industry establishments in Georgia and neighboring states. There was a large turnout of attendees to the Expo despite having to compete with a professional football game on it’s opening day.
ACityDiscount has been an active member of the Georgia Restaurant Association for some time. Through a contact at the GRA, ACityDiscount’s marketing team was contacted by a representative of Clarion Events North America to contribute to the newly-branded Atlanta Foodservice Expo. ACityDiscount was given the opportunity to be recognized as the equipment sponsor for the Expo’s Culinary Competitions. This was immediately recognized as a great opportunity to widen ACityDiscount’s customer base, further contribute to the Atlanta culinary scene, as well as forge better bonds with current and former customers. ACityDiscount provided refrigeration and food preparation equipment for a number of events during the show.
ACityDiscount’s booth featured a large number of items which represented only a fraction of the ACityDiscount inventory has to offer. Ranging from items like smallwares to larger items such as refrigeration, ovens and fryers, ACityDiscount shipped a full truckload of samples for display. Along with the display, certain coupons were offered at the time of the show were extended until the end of the week of the show for those unable to attend.
