Meet The Owners

Dwight and Peggy Burke are the owners of Burke’s Grill - located in Douglasville, Georgia  at 4040 Chapel Hill Rd across from Chapel Hill middle school. After working for Red Lobsters for many years, Dwight decided to utilize his culinary degree and start his lifelong dream of opening his very own restaurant. Family is very important to the Burke's, and is demonstrated throughout the establishment with memorable moments and family photos. 

About Burke's Grill

The couple describe Burke's Grill as a ‘meat and two’ during the day, and an upscale diner in the evening. The Burke’s first met in New Orleans, and in honor of that, have Cajun influenced cuisines on the menu such as shrimp and grits, shrimp Creole, and more. Some other great menu items include steaks, burgers, salmon, tilapia, and delicious side dishes like macaroni & cheese.

Awards and Recognition

Burke's Grill has won many awards as tangible proof of its great customer service and delectable dishes. A few of these awards include: Best Lunch, Best Home Cooking, and Top Small Business by Douglas County Chamber of Commerce. The diner was also a Small Business of The Year Finalist, and is listed as number 2 out of 144 in the city by Trip Advisor.

Dwight met Rudy years ago when they both worked as Managers in the food service business, and Dwight says that Rudy’s customer service-driven spirit has not changed. To Burke, Rudy is ACityDiscount. He purchases everything from small wares, to seating, and more from the store.
