Robin Schick
Caly Road Creamery

In this video testimonial, Robin Schick, owner of Caly Road Creamery, discusses her distinctive creamery, and the benefits of purchasing restaurant equipment and supplies from ACityDiscount.  Robin discusses what she likes most about ACityDiscount is the ability to go in, describe the application she is trying to achieve in the cheese production process, and she gets a knowledgeable salesperson to help her make an innovative purchase that works for her.

Caly Road Creamery produces artisan cheeses right in the heart of Sandy Springs, Georgia.  Robin Schick and a staff of aspiring cheese makers, bring the country to your table.  They use fresh ingredients from local farms and are committed to bringing quality and delectable flavors to their handmade cheeses.  Robin and her staff share a passion for making cheese from beginning to end.  They are especially interested in the affinage or finishing process of cheese by aging them in humidity and temperature controlled environments.  Their cheese menu consists of semi ripened cheeses of cow and goat’s milk.  They have everything from a Camembert style cheese to a cow milk Crottin and a new blue cheese called Indigo.  Caly Road Creamery offers fresh chevre flavored with seasonal local produce. Their clientele consists of anyone who appreciates fine cheeses made from fresh milk sources.

Being a small artisan cheese maker in the south requires creativity!  None of the items Robin uses are made specifically for small cheese makers here in Georgia.  That is where the creativity and extensive knowledge of the ACityDiscount sales staff comes in.  The cheese makers at Caly Road Creamery use a large number of smallwares from ACityDiscount in ways they were not originally intended. For example, stacked dishwasher crates make great ventilated shelving for storing cheeses prior to maturation.

Caly Road Creamery is their only location, although they do offer their cheeses at many of the farmers markets all over Atlanta. The concept for the creamery is one of sharing, education and community between cheese lovers. They have a large viewing window through which you can see into the creamery where all of their processes occur from pasteurization to molding of the curds and final wrapping of a cheese.  And when you go to Caly Road Creamery you must, of course, sample everything they make!

Robin and her staff are also very interested in supporting other local producers through the use of locally-grown products in their cheeses or retailing local producers’ goods in the Caly Road Creamery storefront. Look for Caly Road Creamery artisan cheeses at local farmers markets, specialty shops, or visit the shop in Sandy Springs.  For those who share Robin's love of great cheese, take a tour of the creamery or sign up for a cheese making class.
