Crepes vs. Galettes at The Galloping Galette - Customer Highlight
Enjoy a taste of French cuisine in Atlanta
Crepes vs. Galettes: It’s a regular Foodie debate across the pond (Atlantic Ocean) at French cafes. And now, the Atlanta area can join the conversation, thanks to The Galloping Galette (9924 Davis Street, Suite 7 in Braselton, Ga.).
This establishment, founded by the husband-and-wife team of Yannick and Viviane, is creating sweet and savory delights six days a week. Check out the video above, and see Yannick at work!
Galettes can be eaten for lunch or dinner, while crepes are usually a desert item – although I was proud to eat mine around lunchtime!
Back to the Galettes. Here’s a look at two of the more popular Galettes:
La Terroir: mozzarella, sausage and creamy mushrooms on a folded Galette.
La Bretonne: mozzarella, sausage and apples on a folded Galette.
La Complete: Swiss cheese, ham and eggs on a folded Galette.
For Crepes, we recommend La Caramel: butter, sugar, vanilla ice cream, homemade caramel and almonds on a folded crepe.
Customers may also build their own Galettes and Crepes. Unsure of what to order? Viviane is great at helping first-timers select menu items. Stop by The Galloping Galette and figure out your favorite: Crepes or Galettes! And don’t forget to check out the video above.
