Taylor is a retired electrical engineer at IBM. During his 32-year career, he helped build the IBM Cloud. As a hobby, he earned his pilot's license. As a weekday morning and afternoon activity, he works as a bus driver for the local school district in Rome, Ga.
And since later 2017, he's also a restaurateur.
Taylor, an ACityDiscount customer, is co-owner of JJ Sumo Grill and 3-26 Philly, a combined fast casual spot located at 114 Broad St. Ste. 101 in Rome, Ga.
ACityDiscount's Gary Estwick recently caught up with the food service newbie to talk Philly cheesesteaks, poke bowls and school buses. Check out the video to learn more.
WHY PHILLY CHEESE STEAKS?
"It's always been my sandwich of choice," Taylor said. "I always ordered a Philly cheese steak. I tend to try all the Philly cheese steaks in an area, and then stick to the one I like."(For the business) I started experimenting with my own concept. That's what made me want to open a restaurant."
