They under-promised, and over-delivered. I don't think I'll shop anywhere else.
Laurie WongReflections of Trinity
After spending 10 years in a corporate environment, Laurie Wong founded Reflections of Trinity in 2003. After families who would come for clothing began expressing a need for food, she later added a food pantry to better serve those individuals. Wong attributes the ability to run an organization of this type to having a business sense, compassion, and treating people humanely. She feels strongly about helping those who are facing hardships, such as seniors who often have to choose between food and medicine, prompting her to senior bridge program.
Reflections of Trinity is an outreach ministry, offering food, clothing, and other resources to those in need. Providing 150 boxes of groceries a week, Reflections of Trinity is able to offer assistance to many food insecure families and individuals. Team members of the organization served over 650,000 pounds of food in 2015. The organization is a part of eBay charity, where it is able to fund much of its efforts. eBay for Charity helps people support important causes, both in the U.S. and abroad. It also enables sellers to donate a portion of their sales to their favorite charities.
Reflections of Trinity is always looking for volunteers to share their gifts with others. In addition to the senior’s bridge program – Reflections of Trinity offers various other programs in which they make a difference. On the 4th Saturday of each month the SERVE TEAM pays a visit to the Pruitt Health Care Nursing home on Mulkey Road to bring an afternoon of cheer and visitation to the residents.
The Q.O.L.E. program (Quality Of Life Enrichment) Program focuses on helping Seniors and individuals with disabilities. Team 58, distributes grocery boxes with nutritious food each Saturday between 10am – 12 pm.
The EBay SHINE Awards for Small Business program is a celebration created to acknowledge the members of the eBay selling community, with the winner of each category receiving a $5,000 cash prize. Laurie met John and Rebecca Stack at the eBay Shine Awards in Las Vegas, where they were both contenders.
Her hope to attain a new walk-in cooler was quickly recognized when she was introduced to the Stack’s after being seated next to them at the awards. After connecting with the Stacks, she visited the showroom which she describes as being beautiful, and received the assistance she needed to choose the prefect walk in cooler for Reflections of Trinity. After her great shopping experience, and a successful install, Laurie says she won’t shop anywhere else for her restaurant equipment and supplies.
