The Crossing - Customer Highlight

Restaurant owner Luis Fernandez has been a long time customer of ACityDiscount.  Luis is the owner of Mojitos; a Cuban-American bistro located in Historic Norcross, GA.  Mojitos has become a tremendous hit, and is now a favorite of many ACityDiscount employees seeking lunch.  The business has grown so much that Luis decided to open a second restaurant in Historic Norcross: The Crossing.

Luis decided to utilize Norcross’s recently vacated train depot, and together he and Executive Chef Norman Blakely Petzelt decided to build more than just a restaurant when creating the concept for The Crossing.  The duo wanted to give Historic Norcross a quality steakhouse, but also wanted a welcoming bar atmosphere that could accommodate live music.  This seemed like a rather daunting task to do alone, so Luis and Chef Petzelt, or “Blake” as he is known, decided to enlist the help of ACityDiscount.

Luis and Blake came to ACityDiscount, and after speaking with showroom manager Mike Ellin, decided to take advantage of our new CAD design and layout team.  ACityDiscount took measurements of the new restaurant’s kitchen, and after Luis and Chef Blake picked the pieces they wanted to see in their new kitchen, created a kitchen layout that catered to their specific needs.  After the renovations to Norcross’s train depot were finished, ACityDiscount delivered the equipment and helped the crew install it.

The Crossing has only been open one month, but has quickly become Historic Norcross’s new hip spot.  Though it has become a haven for nightlife, the restaurant’s menu is not to be forgotten.  A bevy of upscale burger and sandwich options are available, but the true draw of The Crossing is the quality hand cut steaks.
