The inaugural Michelin Guide for Atlanta was recently revealed, marking a significant milestone in Atlanta’s culinary scene. Notably, Lazy Betty, Hayakawa, Bacchanalia, Atlas, and Mujo have been bestowed with prestigious Michelin stars, while Heirloom Market BBQ and Little Bear have earned well-deserved recognition.
The grand ceremony, which took place on October 24th at the iconic Rialto Center in downtown Atlanta, celebrated a total of 45 remarkable restaurants. These establishments were honored with Michelin stars, bib gourmand status, and other esteemed distinctions. It's worth noting that Michelin's initial selection of restaurants for the Atlanta guide remained within the perimeter (ITP), but there is anticipation of future expansion beyond the perimeter (OTP). This development promises to further elevate Atlanta's culinary reputation on the world stage.
The next set of acknowledgments at the ceremony was reserved for "Green Star" restaurants, which are celebrated for their sustainable and environmentally friendly practices. Additionally, a comprehensive list of Michelin-recommended restaurants was unveiled in the Atlanta dining guide. To wrap up the evening, the much-anticipated moment arrived as Atlanta's new Michelin bib gourmands and starred restaurants were officially disclosed.
