The United States of America honors all US military in the month of November each year.
As a nation, we recognize the hard work and commitment put in by our Veterans, and show appreciation for their service for this country. Veterans hold a special place in the hearts of the American people.
Many food service establishments are showing their appreciation with special discounts and deals for military veterans; some year-round and some on Veteran’s Day only.

Applebee's
Veterans and active duty military will enjoy a free meal from a limited menu, on November 11. The chain will feature a special and will provide a $5 discount coupon given to each qualifying visitor to use on their next visit. This is the 9th consecutive year of Applebee’s honoring both Vets and active members.
Some delicious special menu items for Veterans Day will include:

- Butcher’s Meat + Potatoes

Der Biergarten
Der Biergarten is asking that all come out to help pay homage on Veterans Day. Join Der Biergarten in Marietta, GA after the Veteran's Day Parade for $9 beer specials and a complimentary pretzel or bratwurst with military ID.Active and retired military personnel with ID will also receive 50 % off their bill Nov. 7 and Nov. 11. Der Biergarten is an establishment offering a German experience with authentic German menu that features tantalizing cuisine prepared in true German tradition. If you are in the mood for German cuisine on a budget, get out and join Der Biergarten for some cultured fun!
Perkins® Restaurant & Bakery
Perkins Restaurant & Bakery –a chain of nearly 400 restaurants in 33 states and Canada will honor U.S. military personnel on November 11, 2016 by offering a free Magnificent Seven® meal to U.S. Military both past and present. Veterans can enjoy a delicious meal of variety with The Magnificent Seven, which will consist of two eggs, three buttermilk pancakes and a choice of two bacon strips or sausage links.
This earnest appreciation shown by Perkins Restaurant & Bakery won’t be the first. The large flag found at all locations is known as a year round symbol of patriotism. On Veterans Day, that very patriotism will be shared with those who can show a current military or veteran identification.
Baskin-Robbins
This year, America’s favorite ice-cream company will donate a portion of its proceed to USO in recognition of Veterans Day. USO is an organization founded for “strengthening America’s military service members by keeping them connected to family, home and country, throughout their service to the nation.” They will donate 11 cents from each scoop of ice cream scoop sold at Baskin-Robbins on Veterans Day.
In addition to charitable efforts being made by the establishment, Baskin-Robbins will feature First Class Camouflage as November’s Flavor of the Month. This yummy, patriotic flavor consists of chocolate, salty caramel and cake-flavored ice cream to be paired with a freshly-baked Camouflage Waffle Cone, featuring the classic military colors of green, brown and tan.
HOBNOB
HOBNOB, located at 1551 Piedmont Ave NE, Atlanta will serve Veterans and their guests a 20 percent off lunch or dinner on November 11, 2016.
HOBNOB is a neighborhood tavern providing a warm and inviting atmosphere in the heart of Midtown Atlanta. This cozy location offers a comprehensive bourbon lists, an amazing selection of craft beer, cocktails and comfort food. It’s causal, friendly atmosphere could be the perfect place to go this Veterans Day for a fun filled, affordable time.
Revival
Revival is known for its delectable southern food, located in Decatur, GA. On Veterans Day, active and retired members will get a generous 25% whatever they choose. Menus include tasty choices such as:

Semper Fi Bar & Grille was founded in 2015 by two marine Veterans, Ralph and Carrie Roger. The duo began their journey with the vision to give back to Veterans of Atlanta and North Georgia. Semper Fi Bar & Grille is dedicated to men and women who protect or nation.
On November 10, Semper Fi Bar & Grille will hold an event: USMC Birthday. This event will feature live music, a cake ceremony and much more. So if you’re in the mood to celebrate in Woodstock, GA at a place with Veterans, by Veterans Semper Fi Bar is the place!

Veterans Day is a public holiday held on the anniversary of the end of World War I (November 11), celebrated annually to pay tribute to US veterans and victims. It was made a substitute for Armistice Day in 1954.
