ENERGY STAR is a joint program of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Energy with the mission to help consumers save money and protect the environment through energy efficient products and practices.
The six categories of commercial foodservice products that may qualify for ENERGY STAR include commercial refrigerators, freezers, ice machines, fryers, hot food holding cabinets, andsteam cookers.

Commercial Dishwashers that have earned the ENERGY STAR are on average 25% more energy-efficient and 25% more water-efficient than standard models.
High and low undercounter temp, single tank door type, single tank conveyor, and multiple tank conveyor machines are all eligible for the ENERGY STAR. Qualified models must meet maximum gallons per rack requirements during the final rinse and use less energy while idling between wash cycles.
